Marquis Alliance couples its fully equipped testing laboratory with qualified personnel devoted to an extensive research and development program.
Marquis Alliance is currently doing a research project with ArboraNano, the Canadian Forest NanoProducts Network to bring a Nanocrystaline Cellulosic product into the Petroleum Industry market place. A second major joint research project is Drilling Fluid Waste analysis involving disposal and environmental impact here in Alberta. University of Alberta professors and Environment Canada have partnered in the study to ensure credibility.
In the past Marquis Alliance has subscribed to industry leading Wellbore Simulator software packages to optimize drilling hydraulics. From this experience, Marquis Alliance has moved forward and developed an in house Wellbore Simulator. The creation and development process has been intended to help Marquis Alliance customers. The information provided by this software package allows the optimization of the fluid properties both at the design and implementation phases of the drilling program. One of the main differences with the Marquis Alliance Wellbore Simulator is that it considers hole cleaning and pressure loss estimations with consideration of cuttings load and directional geometries integrated into the Simulator.
